Beacon Hill Bistro Book Signing and Dinner

One of the very best things about writing a book, has been the opportunity to meet some truly amazing people- from farmers and artisans, to chefs and food activists- I have been inspired by so many of them.  Last year, I had the honor of hosting a locally-sourced dinner and book signing at Tavalo, an Italian restaurant outside of Boston.  Attending the event was Josh Lewin, head chef at Beacon Hill Bistro (that is him above, looking on while I sign his copy of my book!).  We hit it off, bonding over our love of local food, and have been eager to do an event together since.
Josh is a true leader in the local food world, and I am beyond excited at the prospect of hosting a dinner and book signing with him.  To give you a little taste of what to expect, here are a few of the tempting menu items, as well as the market which he is sourcing them from:

Dayboat Scallop Ceviche
Three Oranges, Sorrel, Fresh Chilis, Day Lilly
Newton (pg 121)

Sweet Corn Pudding
Farm Fresh Egg, Cured Tamworth Pork Loin, Marjoram
Orleans, Cape Cod (pg 125)

Herb Poached Oyster Mushroom
Braised Concord Rabbit, Petite Potato
Sustainable Nantucket's Farmer's Market (pg 129)

Goatherd's Panna Cotta
Fresh Berries, Anise Hyssop Ice Cream
West Tisbury, Martha's Vineyard (pg 127)
Seriously, my mouth is watering just thinking about that menu!  I think it will be a night to remember, and if you happen to live in or around Boston, I would love to see you there.  Here are the details:
