Moody Monday, and a Winner!

A Glimpse of Providence
It's a chilly one here today, so chilly in fact, that I don't foresee leaving the house anytime soon with my little one.  Luckily I made it out yesterday for a quick photo shoot of downtown Providence.  I am working on a little project, and the falling snow, coupled with the moody light, made for the perfect shot!  There is this interesting piece of art, which looks like the scales of a fish, that sits right near the river that runs through the center of Providence.  I just loved how the light played off the scales, and in the background, the river and skyline stayed slightly out of focus.  Can you believe that at one time, the city had boarded up the river?  Seriously...covered this beautiful river with boards.  I guess Providence has come a long way from those unfortunate days!
Thanks to everyone who entered The Nimbus Factory giveaway...here is the WINNER (CJ- email me to claim your prize!):

I know it, Providence is newly gorgeous. I remember when it was a pit. My Dad grew up in New Bedford (not far away) and was horrified when I told him I was moving to East Providence (I lived there a few years). He hadn't been to Providence in a while and was happy at how much it had changed for the better.

That shot is gorgeous! I really need to get to the East Coast someday...
