A Moment of Play

I had a moment to myself yesterday.  The house was clean, the babe asleep, the never-ending to-do list put on hold...all was quiet, all was calm.

I decided to indulge in a moment of play!  Many years ago, there was this cool online shop, One Good Bumblebee, which has since closed.  They sold these jars chock full of interesting little tidbits...a "Jar of Whimsies" you might say!

I have had this sitting in my studio ever since I bought it, and would you believe I have never opened it.  Not once in two years...until yesterday.  I poured out the contents, sifted through, thought of little imaginative stories about where each piece came from, and finally, set up a little photo shoot.  It was silly and pointless...but it was fun...a moment devoted just to imagination and play!  I think I might try it more often!
