Escape

This afternoon, we managed to escape the icy grip of winter...if only for an hour!  Ever since moving to Providence, I have been meaning to visit the Roger Williams Park Botanical Gardens.  A mere five minutes down the road, and we were transported to a tropical paradise!

It was so much fun to watch my little one take in all the greenery.  He hasn't even been in this world long enough to experience the beauty of blossoms and leafy trees.  That is so hard to believe!

And oh did he love it...the warm, steamy air...the sunlight streaming in through the glass panes.  He was in pure heaven.  I think we might have a warm-weather lover on our hands.  Too bad his parents chose to plunk him down on the East Coast!

 I wish I could tell him that spring is right around the corner, but predictions have us getting more snow in the coming week.  We might just have to take another trip back to the gardens....if only for another dreamy escape.
