My babe and I are being showered with love these days- it is such an amazing feeling. After my Providence friends
threw me a shower a few weeks ago, I was lucky enough to have another shower thrown in my honor back home in Michigan.

I had no idea what to expect- everything was kept a surprise, the guest list, theme and decorations. So imagine my delight when I walked through the door to be greeted by a huge paper-mache Indian elephant (made by my amazing mom) and tiny Indian elephant cookies (handmade by the hostess)! It was the sweetest theme I could have imagined!

The tables were decorated with gorgeous centerpieces and a decadent chocolate-raspberry cake, with a sugary blessing for my little boy. All of my extended family was there, as well as many of my mom's best friends- whose families we grew up with!

The hostess' asked everyone to bring their favorite book so that Baby Chitnis would have a large library! I got so many of the wonderful classics, as well as some fun new reads. Our boy is going to be a smart one if his mama ever gets around to reading him all of these books.

I managed to get back to Rhode Island with all of my wonderful gifts in tow...except we couldn't quite figure out how to pack the elephant in my suitcase. I guess he will have to be part of the nursery back at my parents home!
how precious...

Would you even believe me if I told you that my mom made it out of paper grocery bags, tons of paper mache and a large wire frame? I know...it's almost too much to comprehend!
