I wanted to let all of you Providence-based readers know about a few classes that I will be teaching at the local
Learning Connection. The first class is called
Flea Market Furniture Makeovers and it will be held on January 27, 6-9pm.

Here is the description: Wouldn’t it be nice to furnish your home stylishly and on a shoe-string budget? With a bit of elbow-grease and a sharp eye, you can! In this course, you will learn where to find great deals, flea-market jargon, how to know what to pay, and most importantly, how to refinish your finds. Let someone’s junk become your refurbished treasure!
The second class is a must for all of you who dream of publishing your writing. Held on two nights, February 10 and 17, 6:30-8:30pm, Publish Your Personal Essay, will teach you how to craft a personal essay, how to pitch it to editors and which markets are always on the lookout for new voices. No writing background is needed, but a willingness to write honestly about life experiences is a must! The first personal essay that I ever published landed me on The Today Show and was praised by The Washington Post...it can and does happen!
Comment here or shoot me an email if you have any questions! I hope to see some of you there!
If I lived anywhere near you I would totally take your class! How fun!
I can only assume that it says something about me that I like the "before" photos - all grungy and old. (:
You are so cool.
wow these sound amazing!! i wish i could take both of them... :)
Bit too far to travel from Sunshine Coast Australia but if I lived nearby would love to do both
Great classes! Not sure I can attend, but I feel like I've graduated from furniture refinishing school anyway--it's how I've furnished our whole apartment! Good luck!
They both sound wonderful!
¡que cambios tan fantásticos!
un abrazo,
SIONA
