Ask and You Shall Receive

My friend Elizabeth is a big believer in putting your goals out there, verbalizing them for all to hear. "What do you want," she asks me. "Say it out loud and then make it happen." I was very nervous to put a number out there, it's just so exact, so open to failure. What if I only made it to 49...then what? But I bit the bullet, and lo' and behold, we made it happen on the first day. What a wonderful lesson in goal-setting.
So, here's to a year of verbalizing our goals, no matter how big... how small... how silly... how scary. Let this be the year where we make it happen. Say it loud, say it proud.
If you haven't yet entered the India GIVEAWAY, there is still plenty of time!
well done you for verbalizing and reaching your goal ;-)

I just discovered your blog a few weeks ago and love the photos. Thanks for sharing!
A giveaway does seem to have that effect... :-) Good for you!! LindaSonia
ok, christine (and elizabeth) -- i am going to say it loud (and say it proud), i would like 15 women to sign up for the bay end arts retreat, persephone rising, in march 2010 on the shores of buzzards bay, mass -- the teachers and the classes they're offering are awesome!

A big YAY for you! I totally get what you are saying and 2010 is going to be the year of verbalizing and reaching goals. Sounds so easy, but the self-doubt creeps in and takes hold. Here's to being positive and saying it out loud!
